Ripples is part of the riverside Hotel in sligo right beside the Garavogue River. There is indoor and outdoor seating, the outdoor seating is a mix of tables and pods. I'd checked the times of their breakfast through their Facebook page and it said breakfast served till 1pm on a Sunday so we rushed to get there, on arriving at 12.50 we were told that breakfast was finished, we questioned this and the staff memeber then checked with the kitchen and happily gave us the breakfast menu. I had the pancakes with crispy bacon and maple syrup (€8.50) and my husband had the breakfast bap (€7.50), both were very tasty and went down very well. The staff were friendly and the place was clean. There was a calming atmosphere sitting out beside the river. It's a place I forget about and must remember to call again for lunch soon.

Location, View, food & Staff are all 5 star here! If youre visiting Sligo, head for a town centre walk along the river to Doorly Park, and make sure to visit Ripples (@Riverside Hotel) on the way over or back. They have a lovely varied, flavourful menu. Lots of access for Buggies, Wheelchairs and even park bike outside. Amazing outdoor space overlooking the river. Even though youre still in the town, it's so chill over there. Their ice creams and milkshakes are big kids (and adult) favourite also. Every staff member I've ever met there are so welcoming and helpful.

A lovely place to visit, it's a little lost at the side of the riverside hotel and looks like you're heading in the back door... But when you're in the food lovely, we'll presented and reasonably priced... The service is good and quick. Facilities are down some fairly steep stairs but more accessible ones are available. All in all it's worth a visit, and I'm looking forward to trying some of the sweet treats.

Amazing spot to grab breakfast in Sligo, if you sit outside there's a lovely view of the river and pods to keep you warm. Coffee is great, toilets are great, staff are great. Limited breakfast menu but food was lovely. Definitely would come back

Stopped here for breakfast and gave the Eggs Benedict a whirl. I was pleasantly surprised as everything came out hot and the bacon was so tasty. It checked all the boxes and pass the ultimate test … a runny yolk. The seating is comfortable and if you like eating el fresco it’s a lovey spot beside the river. I only knocked it one star because the staff didn’t check if everything was okay and when paying for breakfast for three people it was surprisingly expensive. A good spot near town.
